Upon still waters, the Niloufer blooms – Bringing light, where shadows fall.
Like this water lily, We stand with those who are a testament to resilience, love and new beginnings. We believe, in stillness, compassion takes root.
This project, created in honor of my grandmother Niloufar Yasmine Mehdi, reflects the love, compassion, and quiet strength she instilled in me.
Denied an education beyond sixteen and compelled into marriage, she lived a life marked by sacrifice — not only for her family, but in quiet resistance to the societal pressures that limit so many women. Without seeking recognition, she spent her life advocating for those who struggled to be heard. To me, she was both a grandmother and a confidante, whose example taught me grace and empathy.
“Bachay tou sab ke sanjhay hote hain.” Children belong to all of us.
As her eldest grandchild, I am the beneficiary of her courage. She challenged family tradition to ensure I received an education and granted me the freedoms she once hoped for herself — to study, travel, and live on my own terms.
This project is a tribute to her spirit and to the light she brought to every child around her. My hope is that her legacy continues through the lives we touch.
Ama, this is for you.
May we be strong women — and may we raise them.
Under The Niloufar Project, our Initiative Asma is designed to build bridges of compassion and opportunity — connecting caring individuals with children who deserve love, guidance, and a chance at a better life.
1. Providing Care Beyond Adoption
Our first goal is to offer orphaned and abandoned children an education, emotional support, and the presence of a parental figure — something far too many never get to experience. These children also belong firmly within the circle of care.
Through this initiative, we invite individuals to educate, nurture, and play a meaningful role in a child’s journey — without the permanency or legal complexities of adoption. After a careful review of your profile, financial stability, and motivations, we will thoughtfully connect you with a child who can truly blossom with your guidance and support.
2. Extending Care to Neglected and Abused Children
This initiative is not limited to orphans alone. Pakistan ranks among the most unsafe countries in the world for women and children. Many children are unsafe even within their own homes — suffering from neglect, abuse, and deprivation despite having parents.
For these children, foster care is a lifeline. It offers safety, dignity, and the possibility of healing. Whether it’s funding their education, protecting them from abuse, or simply ensuring they have a daily meal, your contribution can transform their sorrow into hope.
Meet the dynamic brains behind our project, bringing expertise, creativity, and dedication to every challenge we tackle.

Navigating inheritance laws felt overwhelming, and I was constantly told to ‘stay quiet for the sake of the family.’ This initiative empowered me to speak up. With their guidance, I received what was rightfully mine and learned that standing up for myself is not an act of rebellion, but an act of justice.

We always thought adoption was the next step for our family, but fostering while we were residing in Pakistan helped us see the day-to-day realities — the joys, the challenges, and the responsibility. It gave us the space to learn without pressure, and helped us become more confident, supportive parents.

Fostering allowed us to contribute meaningfully even when we weren’t sure about long-term adoption. It showed us that providing stability, even for a short time, can change a child’s life. The experience itself was a gift one that shaped our family’s future.
At Project Niloufar, we believe that small actions can create lasting change. There are many ways you can get involved and help transform lives:
