Nurturing hope,
one life at a time.

Upon still waters, the Niloufer blooms – Bringing light, where shadows fall.

Like this water lily, We stand with those who are a testament to resilience, love and new beginnings. We believe, in stillness, compassion takes root.

About Us

This project, created in honor of my grandmother Niloufar Yasmine Mehdi, reflects the love, compassion, and quiet strength she instilled in me.

Denied an education beyond sixteen and compelled into marriage, she lived a life marked by sacrifice — not only for her family, but in quiet resistance to the societal pressures that limit so many women. Without seeking recognition, she spent her life advocating for those who struggled to be heard. To me, she was both a grandmother and a confidante, whose example taught me grace and empathy.

A woman of extraordinary kindness, she embraced children from all walks of life as her own, even when societal norms discouraged adoption and foster care. She deeply believed that:

“Bachay tou sab ke sanjhay hote hain.” Children belong to all of us.

As her eldest grandchild, I am the beneficiary of her courage. She challenged family tradition to ensure I received an education and granted me the freedoms she once hoped for herself — to study, travel, and live on my own terms.

This project is a tribute to her spirit and to the light she brought to every child around her. My hope is that her legacy continues through the lives we touch.

Ama, this is for you.
May we be strong women — and may we raise them.

Initiative Asma

Under The Niloufar Project, our Initiative Asma is designed to build bridges of compassion and opportunity — connecting caring individuals with children who deserve love, guidance, and a chance at a better life.

1. Providing Care Beyond Adoption
Our first goal is to offer orphaned and abandoned children an education, emotional support, and the presence of a parental figure — something far too many never get to experience. These children also belong firmly within the circle of care.
Through this initiative, we invite individuals to educate, nurture, and play a meaningful role in a child’s journey — without the permanency or legal complexities of adoption. After a careful review of your profile, financial stability, and motivations, we will thoughtfully connect you with a child who can truly blossom with your guidance and support.

2. Extending Care to Neglected and Abused Children
This initiative is not limited to orphans alone. Pakistan ranks among the most unsafe countries in the world for women and children. Many children are unsafe even within their own homes — suffering from neglect, abuse, and deprivation despite having parents.

For these children, foster care is a lifeline. It offers safety, dignity, and the possibility of healing. Whether it’s funding their education, protecting them from abuse, or simply ensuring they have a daily meal, your contribution can transform their sorrow into hope.

Initiative Bagh-e-Zainab

Bagh-e-Zainab — literally translating to “The Garden of Zainab” — symbolizes renewal after hardship. Like a garden that flourishes after a storm, it represents the rebirth of strength, dignity, and hope. Rooted in the spirit of Zainab bint Ali (AS), it stands as a tribute to unyielding courage and the beauty of resilience.
Initiative Bagh-e-Zainab is dedicated to providing safety, dignity, and empowerment to women and children who have been subjected to abuse, assault, or neglect, whether by their own families or others.

Objectives and Services

Protection and Shelter: For women and children fleeing unsafe environments, Bagh-e-Zainab provides immediate protection and safe accommodation through our network of partner homes. Each resident is received and supported in a manner that upholds dignity, privacy, and respect.

Legal Assistance: Many women facing injustice are left to navigate legal systems alone. This initiative offers access to legal aid and advocacy, ensuring that those who have been wronged receive fair representation and are empowered to pursue justice.

Rehabilitation and Empowerment:
Beyond shelter and safety, Bagh-e-Zainab focuses on long-term recovery. Through educational support, vocational training, and financial assistance, the program enables women to rebuild their lives, regain independence, and provide stability for their children.

Work With Us

At Project Niloufar, we believe that small actions can create lasting change. There are many ways you can get involved and help transform lives:

  1. Become a Foster Parent – Provide a child with love, guidance, and the warmth of a family, helping them reach their true potential, all without the legal complexities of adoption.
  2. Make a One-Time Impact – Support children from underprivileged families with their education or living expenses, giving them opportunities they might otherwise miss.
  3. Share Your Skills – Teach a valuable skill to women who are starting over, empowering them to rebuild their lives with confidence and independence.
  4. Spread the Word – Even if you can’t contribute directly, guiding those in need to our platform is a small action that can create a huge ripple effect of good.
